Baby Angel Valenta is a true charmer, dressed in a tiny, fluffy ostrich feather dress. Her hand-felted head is made from natural, undyed Mohair fleece from the Angora goat, adorned with a halo of soft pink beads. She also features crocheted wire wings dotted with clear silver beads. The name “Valenta” means “be strong.”

She is part of the Vintage Range of Angels, featuring timeless pieces over 15 years old. Cherished angels like Marinda, Janine, Justine, Desiree, Trudi, and Maria Small each have their unique charm and story, making them perfect for any collection. Valenta is also one of the smallest members of the Angel Family, known as Baba Angels. ‘Baba’ is Afrikaans for baby and is also used as a term of endearment.

Handcrafted in South Africa by Karoo Angels

The Karoo Angels story began in 2006 in Vondeling, a remote village in the Karoo semi-desert of South Africa. What started as a small craft project for community upliftment soon grew into something much larger. The project provided training to local artisans, leading to the creation of unique, handcrafted angels from wire, beads, wool, and ostrich feathers. The project expanded to include Rietbron, forming the Karoo Angels brand. These angels have gained international recognition, bringing pride and income to once-forgotten villages.
