The Desert Rose design draws its inspiration from the ever-changing palette of the Karoo semi-desert landscape. The colours range from the golden hues of grasslands during dry spells to vibrant bursts of bright orange wildflowers after rare rains. This dynamic and resilient natural beauty is reflected in the candle’s design, capturing the essence of the Karoo’s stunning and distinctive environment. Each candle begins as a smooth, white dinner candle, hand-poured from fully refined paraffin wax. They are then meticulously hand painted with high-quality colour pigments mixed with hot wax. The background and larger bands of colours are applied using a sponge, while the finer foreground detailing is carefully painted with a small brush. No two patterns are exactly alike, yet they all adhere to the same stunning colour scheme, making each candle an individual piece of art.
