Karoo Angel Gerda

Each Karoo Angel is made through a series of precise, skilled steps that demand patience and steady hands. Artisans crochet with ultra‑fine 0.2 mm soft copper wire, shaping the body and wings. Beads are threaded directly onto the wire as it’s knitted, forming the angel’s detailed patterns. The head is hand‑felted from natural, undyed Mohair fleece from the Angora goat, worked until it becomes perfectly smooth and even. Finally, the feather dress is assembled one piece at a time, secured carefully so the feathers stay in place. Every angel represents hours of focused, meticulous work — nothing rushed, nothing automated, and entirely made by hand.
