Hand-Painted Christmas Frosted Dinner Candles (Set of 2)

Handmade by Kapula in Bredasdorp, a small town in South Africa’s Overberg region, each unscented candle is hand-poured from fully refined paraffin wax with a 100% cotton wick. The smooth white candle is then hand-painted using high-quality colour pigments mixed with hot wax. A sponge creates the background shades and broad colour bands, while the finer details are added by hand with a small brush. No two patterns are exactly the same, yet all sit beautifully within the same colour palette, with vibrant designs that reflect the spirit of Africa. Each candle is carefully wrapped before shipping to protect its delicate wax artwork. Through this craftsmanship, Kapula supports its family, community and local economy, providing sustainable employment within the farming community and sharing “The Warm Art of Africa” with the world through culture, craftsmanship and creativity.

Materials: Unscented paraffin wax, colour pigments, 100% cotton wick, individually wrapped

Care: Keep candles away from draughts, as this may cause uneven burning or excessive dripping. Never leave a burning candle unattended or near flammable materials. Candles have a long shelf life, but over time their colours may fade and the surface may become slightly sticky. To slow this natural ageing process, store candles in a cool, dark place inside an airtight container or wrapped in plastic.

Burn time: Approximately 8 hours per candle.
